Now I'm not sure that he would really approve of being described as a possession, mainly because he seems to own me (or at least rule the roost!) more than I own him, but my baby doggle, Toby is the most treasured thing in my life.
His energy and vigour for life, his ability to go from fast asleep to wide away and ready to go for a walk in a nano second and his daily crazy five minutes of chasing his own tail madness all make me love him to bits. 
When I'm down he's there snuggled into my lap, comforting me as only he knows how and when I'm in high spirits, he's willing to run along the beach for miles with me.
Don't get me wrong, there are days when we are just not friends.
